Services
Cherry Tree Hill Infant school was opened in 1952 and Cherry Tree Hill Junior School was opened in 1940. The Junior school began life as a Primary school until the Infant school was opened next door. As a school built during the Second World War, air raid shelters were built in the grounds of the Junior school and pupils were frequently ushered into them when the sirens went off.
On behalf of the children, staff, trustees and governors, I would like to welcome you to Cherry Tree Hill Primary School. We hope you find our website clear, informative and easy to navigate. It is designed to give you a flavour of the vibrant life of our school, the work of our pupils and the quality education we strive to deliver.

Primary Admissions Handbook - the handbook includes information on the number of places available at our school and a breakdown of the categories of children offered a place in previous years.
At Cherry Tree Hill Primary School, assessment is an essential part of how we help children achieve their potential. It is a continuous process and an integral part of the teaching and learning that takes place in our school.

Through daily, formative assessments we are constantly evaluating children's knowledge, skills and understanding and, along with summative assessments, are able to evaluate children's current strengths and the next steps in their learning.
Democracy is an important value at our school. Pupils are always listened to be adults and are taught to listen carefully and with concern to each other, respecting the right of every individual to have their opinions and voices hears. Pupils have the opportunity to have their voices heard through our School Council.
