There is now an expectation from Government that all schools provide a remote learning offer when schools cannot provide that learning in school e.g. during a whole school closure due to a pandemic. Set assignments so that pupils have meaningful and ambitious work each day in a number of different subjects.
We will enable our pupils, regardless of aptitude and ability to become enthusiastic and resilient learners, who make good progress and achieve the most that they possibly can. We will set the highest possible targets for attainment and progress. We will strive to ensure that attainment is high and that our children develop and apply skills very well, especially reading, writing, communication and maths.
Since 2004 we have been awarded the International Schools Award 4 times. The award is validated by the British Council through a rigorous independent evaluation process. This is an outstanding achievement for the school. The current award runs from 2014 to 2017. The award recognises the importance the school places on global education.
Football is a strong feature at Greentrees. Year 5 and 6 are part of a football league with other local primary schools. The football team also represent the school at local competitions. This year the 3 & 4 team came third overall after some outstanding performances at the annual festival held at the Laverstock schools.
Our Teacher is Mrs Patel and our Teaching Assistants are Miss Morrison, Mrs Mort and Mrs Wilkinson. Our page shows activities that we have been doing each month, which are included in our ongoing 'Learning Journeys.' In Phonics we have been working on our speaking and listening skills while we are getting to know our new friends.

My 2 nephews attended both school and camp for several years. The compassion, knowledge and patience exhibited by all the staff, from administrators to teachers to the owners, is exceptionally rare. Their impeccable reputation is well-earned and well-deserved. There are many preschools to select from on Long Island, but only one choice, in my opinion. I highly recommend Greentrees!

My children have been at a few different schools since we moved a few times, but this was the only place where you call to tell the school your child will be absent and the staff would say "Thank you for not coming in (and not spreading the disease)". Other schools would say "Hope your child gets better". Pretty much describes the mentality of the school.
