Banister Primary school is a vibrant, diverse and forward thinking school where all individuals share a passion to exceed expectations. We firmly believe that all children should believe in themselves and their abilities, be proud of their learning and celebrate their success. So lovely to have one of our Governors in today at 8:30 to talk about leadership with our Yr 2 children and staff!
Performance management with awesome LSA's today sharing their beliefs (& ours) that sometimes you need to believe in the child so much so that they can believe in themselves. So many positive stories shared with differences they've seen as a result. The moment you hear Yr 1 children talking and hear them say; "Remember we listen first and then share our thoughts!"

We are delighted to welcome you and your child to Banister Primary School and our fantastic new building! We are a "learning centred school" with learning at the heart of everything we do. We pride ourselves on our children's motivation and enthusiasm to learn through the interactive and engaging topics and activities that we offer.
Banister Primary school is a vibrant, diverse and forward thinking school where all individuals share a passion to exceed expectations. We firmly believe that all children should believe in themselves and their abilities, be proud of their learning and celebrate their success. We believe that in order for our children to succeed we need to provide an enriched curriculum, building on own our children's starting points and life experiences.
The Governing body is made of representatives of parents, staff, the trust and the community. We are part of the management of the school but not involved in its day-to-day running. We are there to act as a critical friend to the staff. The governors support the staff, by listening, by giving advice and by bringing in expertise from outside the school, but we also hold the staff to account.
Banister Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We will ensure that all our recruitment and selection practices reflect this commitment. All successful candidates will be subject to Disclosure and Barring Service checks along with other relevant employment checks.
Here at Banister Primary School, each year group has a fantastic team of teachers and teaching assistants, who help make learning enjoyable. As well as teaching staff, we also have a variety of support staff that ensure our school is a positive learning environment. In the office we have the lovely Miss Singh, Miss Lindsay and Mrs Northcott on the front desk.
