Services
Founded in 1926 as Quo Vadis, the Great Dame of Dean Street has the kind of colourful history one might expect or hope for from its postcode. 26-29 Dean Street had formerly housed a notorious Soho brothel and been home to Karl Marx, who began writing Das Kapital in one of the upstairs rooms.
It was Pepino Leoni who gave the building its moniker, inspired by a billboard advertising a film of the same name, and established Quo Vadis as one of the great Soho restaurants. The actors, artists and glitterati of the time flocked, and Leoni himself declared that he would 'Die on the carpet.'

The Quo Vadis Club is as many-sided and nuanced as its members, who escape the tyrannies of life to find refuge in this fine little Soho bolthole.
Wishes are met throughout the day and night, be it a tea, coffee or carafe of wine as you complete a project in the club, a beautiful meal from Jeremy and team in the Members' Restaurant, Martinis with captivating folk, or simply entertaining whomsoever you wish, safe in the knowledge you'll be well looked after.

Quo Vadis is a restaurant and private members' club in the heart of Soho. We offer three rather extraordinary and beautiful private dining rooms situated on the 2nd floor that delightfully accommodate all requirements, from breakfasts, lunches & dinners, to wedding celebrations or whatever other gathering you may have in mind.

Wow, what a disappointment. Odd menu, some main meals sent back (turkey pie), poor service, low atmosphere. To top it off, at 10.30pm, the staff starting noisily moving tables, stacking wine buckets and ironing table cloths around us - not what I’d expect from an expensive restaurant while it still has customers. Two stars for the lovely stained glass windows

Two words: eel sandwich.
this place has a very clean, contemporary ambiance that felt very cozy. every thing we ordered was good, but the smoked eel sandwich was transcendental. I could easily come here and order 4 of those and eat them all myself. the portion of the eel sandwich is pretty small (really, just a couple bites), but the flavors were perfectly blended yet very distinct.

Came here before our theatre show and boy were we happy about it! Make a reservation because they get pretty busy! Our pork jelly terrine wasn't very good, but the rest of our meal was fabulous!!! The grilled octopus salad was the best I've ever had!! Our Venison dish was incredible while the shared Meat and Mash pie was OUT OF THIS WORLD!!! Very attentive service staff and within walking distance to queens theatre! I would most definitely recommend this place to anyone coming to London who wants a nice, romantic, meal!! The manager

We have started to visit this restaurant every time we are in London, from Dundee in Scotland.
We cannot speak highly enough about this place. Everything is absolutely perfect, from the food, service and staff.
Top quality cooking at reasonable prices, but be advised to make a booking at the busier times. They also have a small bar downstairs to have a drink at whilst waiting if you want and also a seated area there where you can eat if you want if there is no space left in the restaurant.
I can only ask that if you haven't been before, please try and make an effort to go as it is just superb

On the last night of my trip to London, the pressure to do something super-special was alive and kicking. Our fave little neighbourhood, Soho, would be hosting me and my friend one last time. But which restaurant... after much research we narrowed the options down to three within walking distance of one another - an axis of non-evil if you like...
The first looked a little creepy and wasn't very crowded so we marched on towards the second place: Quo Vadis. Visions of my old DVDs flashed before my eyes -check out the movie of the same name, Robert Taylor has never looked better. Well

I've always liked Quo Vadis. Nice surroundings, smart art, good menu with lots of favourites and a few surprises.
My visit the other day for lunch had all this but I don't know if it was just my bad luck but the 2 dishes I ordered weren't very nice.
The ox tongue salad was massively overdressed which spoiled it. And the saddle of rabbit in sourdough bread simply didn't work. I felt the rabbit needed to be trimmed much better and the bread bowl thing was frankly awful. Really really dense loaf, undercooked, impossible to get your knife and fork through.
The gravy or jus or

Quo Vadis, another project from the same owners of Fino and Barrafina. Based on the popularity of the other two, I was expecting good things from QV.
Having a show to watch at the West End, Quo Vadis was a perfect spot to have an early dinner.
We were the early birds and the place was still largely empty. It gave me time to take in the decor which oozes a rich elegance.
We opted to go for the pre-theatre menu which was priced at £17.50 for a two course and £19.50 for 3 courses. As I wasn't too interested in the desserts available in the pre-theatre menu, I decided to go for the 2 course

Miles away from the Soho madness bubbling up just outside QV's front doors (Cough, I'm lookin' at you Sunset Strip!) QV Bar is a picture of class and sophistication in a beautiful historic setting.
I'd known about the member's club upstairs, but I recently learned that a piece of the restaurant had been re-fashioned into a bar that could be enjoyed by all... and enjoy we did. Sticking to drinks both on and off the menu, the bow-tied barman served up four fine cocktails at about £10 a pop. Just don't be surprised if there's no room at the inn - QV Bar seats

VERY VERY GOOD FOOD, lighting too bright , Super good waitress on her first night .
A truly great fillet steak and apparently fab fish and chips - chateau briand was reported as excellent . Very good side dishes too.
Delicious desserts. Very surprised how good the food was and a very good wine for £40 + . Not as expensive as we expected either so a very pleasant surprise. Its great all round except for the lighting , could be more relaxing ( better than the townhouse across the street - pitch dark !) Nice experience. Great location if you have drinks at the Soho hotel and totter over here

Casting around for somewhere to have dinner with an old Latin scholar friend, we couldn't go past this based on the name alone. I was hoping we would dine on stuffed peacock while wiping our greasy fingers in the hair of nubile slaves in the flickering light of pyres of burning Christians (study some Latin, it's all there!)... but unfortunately this just turned out to be one damn fine restaurant. Classic cuisine, rather than classical. At least there was a floor mosaic at the entrance.
Dining on the fixed pre-theatre menu is an affordable way to enjoy the venue and service, but adding

You have to be a member, or signed-in by one, to gain access to the elegantly stylish club-bar above the Quo Vadis restaurant. Times have changed since I was last here (when it had definitely seen better days and was looking a little bedraggled around the edges). Today, you'll feel the glitterati-chic vibe as you glide-up the smart staircase and take-in the grown-up, tobacco-brown blocked, raised-flocked wallpaper.
