Services
Fleas are the most common parasite in cats and dogs. They are not just an inconvenience, their saliva is considered one of the most allergic substances on earth and can cause a nasty skin disease in pets called Flea Allergic Dermatitis or FAD. A female flea can lay as many as 2000 eggs in her life time which drop off your pet as it walks around, causing a home infestation.
We walk all dogs 3 times daily in our own secure walking area. For safety reasons we will never walk your dogs on the street or in public places. Our experienced kennel staff will walk your dogs on an extendable lead, either on their own or with another friendly dog. If necessary, we can carry your dog out for toilet walks, or just walk for shorter time periods.
At Aston Clinton Cattery, we believe your cat's diet is a very important part of its health and we endeavour to feed your cat to your exact requirements, keeping the routine as close as possible to how it is at home. Your cat's food is included in our boarding price.
The only time we would require you to provide food for your cat is if you would like them to eat the specific diet you feed at home, for example a home cooked or veterinary prescription diet, or if your cat can only eat a certain type of food due to a sensitive tummy or for other medical reasons.The main dry food that we use in our cattery is the super-premium, extremely palatable Royal Canin feline veterinary range.

Grooming appointments are available between 8.30am and 2.00pm from Tuesday to Friday, and up to 1pm on Saturday. Our comprehensive pampering service usually takes about 3 hours, so your pet should be ready to be picked up about 3 hours after the appointment time. Hand-stripping, or full grooming of thick coated breeds such as Newfoundlands or Samoyeds may take a little longer!
As valued members of our family, when pets go missing it is a very distressing experience. Sadly, it is our experience that many lost pets are never reunited with their owners because they have no form of identification. Microchipping assists with the speedy recovery of lost or injured pets. As collars can be lost or removed, a microchip is a one-off investment which lasts a lifetime.
