Services
Fleas are by far the most common cause of itchiness in cats and dogs. Fleas are also the most common cause of skin allergies and allergic animals often only need one bite for an allergic reaction to occur. Flea prevention is also an important part of preventing tapeworms as fleas can carry tapeworm eggs and cause tapeworm infestations when an animal grooms itself and eats a flea.
We provide an emergency service at Wendover Heights from 8.30am until 9.00pm daily. From 9.00pm until 8.30am, we have switched to using a dedicated out of hours provider, Hampden Veterinary Hospital in Aylesbury, who offer emergency overnight cover. Hampden have a team of on-site night vets and nurses and are located in Anchor Lane, Aylesbury, HP20 1AJ, near to the town centre.
We believe that nutrition is an important part of keeping pets healthy and can also play a vital part in the treatment of some illnesses. This is why we stock a select range of cat and dog pet food in practice, helping to take the faff out of pet food for our clients by recommending diets that have been scientifically created to provide optimal nutrition, which tastes great!
Wendover Heights Equine first opened its' doors in 1965 and is located in the heart of the Chiltern Hills in Buckinghamshire. We are an experienced and professional team of dedicated equine vets, nurses and support staff who always go that extra mile for you and your horse. We offer comprehensive ambulatory, first opinion equine veterinary care and also have a fully equipped equine clinic and operating theatre at the practice.
We've partnered with Video Vets Now so you can speak to a vet from home or out and about - 7 days a week between 8am and 11pm. Consults are 10 mins and cost 24. If your pet needs to be seen by us or Vets Now, your original 24 payment will be refunded. We partnered with Video Vets Now to help you get the advice and reassurance you need, wherever you are.

Wendover Heights have taken care of our dogs since 1986 .I would not go anywhere else .Due to a family crisis it was down to me to inject our Diabetic dog and I was making a mess of it .On the Thursday night of the 23/12/2021 I left a message on Facebook ,30 minutes later I get a call from Noel one of the Vets to talk me through it and told me to bring Reggie in the following morning .24/12 2021 Becky Checked Reggie over and showed me the correct way to inject him I felt so relieved .I went to reception to pay the bill to be told No Charge . The point of all I have written is All the Staff care

I have just taken my cat for his annual check up
and booster and was extremely impressed by the service. The vet herself collected and returned him to my car because I had hurt my back. Potential treatment options were explained and there was no pressure to launch straight into expensive investigative tests without first trying other options. He was given a thorough check up and I left with a clear plan of action. Would recommend
