Central Primary School
Central Primary School is a split site primary school situated in the heart of the Ashington Community. If you have any worries or concerns about your child or a child you know, please contact the school office on 01670 813111 and ask to speak to Mrs Agan, our Designated Safeguarding Lead. Our school is committed to safeguarding.

Safeguarding means keeping your child happy, healthy and safe in school and online. All staff are trained at regular intervals and are aware of how to keep our pupils safe and what signs to look out for. Our pupils are encouraged to share any concerns and we have robust policies and processes in place that underpin safeguarding.
Services
The history curriculum at ALP Trust is designed to allow pupils to gain a coherent knowledge and understanding of Britain's past and that of the wider world. Progression through the 'Global Enquirers' Knowledge, Skills and Understanding Passport provides a pathway towards living fulfilling lives and contributing to society, through fostering their curiosity and encouraging them to ask perceptive questions.
We believe that ALL our pupils should be given the best chance to do well in life. We know that coming to school on time, every day, is important if your child is to get the best start. The Law says that your child has to have full time education between the ages of 5 and 16, and that you as the parent/carer are responsible for making sure they receive this.
All children, will leave our organisation with the knowledge, skills and values they need to succeed in their next steps in education and beyond and positively contribute to society. The school's vision statement forms the key driver of the school's curriculum intent which can be found in the 'curriculum' section.
The Ashington Learning Partnership instils in pupils the need to be the best they can be. The targeted and strategic use of the Pupil Premium Grant will support us in achieving our vision. Our mission through greater collaboration, is to ensure all the pupils in our care are given the best start in life and can grow and prosper within safe families and communities that give them the best start for the future.
Central Primary believes that all pupils should be respected and valued as shown in our own school values. Some children require support that is additional or different from that made for their peers. It may take the form of additional support in school or require involvement of specialist staff or support services.
