Based at the foot of the South Downs just outside of Eastbourne, we are a school that prides itself on our excellent reputation and school diversity. We believe in working together as a school community to achieve the best results. Both our pupils and staff are encouraged and inspired to achieve their best potential.
We endeavour to provide an enjoyable, enriched educational experience that is both meaningful and relevant to every child and to develop personal qualities that provide a sound foundation for the future. All those concerned with the school share these beliefs. Take your time to look around our school website.

The safety and well-being of our children at Willingdon Primary School is of utmost importance to us and we will always act in the interest of the child. We know that all act with the view that Safeguarding is 'everyone's responsibility'. Concerns should be reported directly to Mrs Gemma Roxburgh or in her absence, Mr Jeremy Woodham.
I am delighted to be Co-Chair of Governors at Willingdon Primary School. I have been a governor at the school for 8 years and have thoroughly enjoyed being involved with our wonderful school during those years. I have also been involved in the governing boards of 2 other schools and regularly share best practice with other governors in the area.
The East Sussex County Council Admissions Team is responsible for co-ordinating and allocating school places in East Sussex. The governing bodies of voluntary aided schools, trust schools and academies also have a role to play in ranking applications against their own admissions criteria. Once school places are finalised, the Admissions Team will send your school individual details of those children who will be starting in September.
Ofsted's Parent View allows parents and carers to express their views anonymously about this school at any time of the school year. Parent View has replaced the paper questionnaires that inspectors used to circulate at the time of a school inspection to gather parents' views. Please remember that we encourage each parent in a family to submit their views.
We want to ensure your child has the best possible start at school. Our main aim in Reception is for your child to be happy in their environment and foster the behaviour for learning in a fun and exciting way. Our strong reception team creates play based activities that are fully inclusive, creative and give endless opportunities for learning.
