Rooted in Catholic values we champion respect for all people while providing a safe place of success, enjoyment and challenging learning. The Lord is my strength and my shield; My heart trusted in Him, and I am helped; Therefore my heart greatly rejoices, and with my song I will praise Him. Rumour has it that there's a dinosaur egg in the Trim Trail.

Services
Our Lady of Lourdes Primary School is a one form entry school, located in the historic and beautiful village of Rottingdean on the outskirts of Brighton. We offer places for children aged 4-11 for Primary School education and pride ourselves in providing children with education and social skills, while ensuring their emotional needs are continually met.
Our Mission Statement is centred on "Live, Love, Learn", and its review has been contributed to by governors, staff, parents and (most importantly) children. From it we draw our long term plan for the school in which we proclaim our Christian mission to 'love one another as God has loved us' (John 13 verse 34).
Limited parking spaces available within the School Car Park -for emergency use only and not for after school pick up. Gates to the Car Park are closed between 8:15am and 9:00am and then between 3:00pm and 3:30pm. I would like to receive information (emails) from Our Lady or Lourdes Primary School from time-to-time about services relating ONLY to the contact form message above.
School is currently closed to all pupils, except for children of key workers and vulnerable pupils, and we are teaching remotely. We would welcome parental support in referencing the safeguarding guidance - see "School Policies" below. In the event of either a partial closure of the school, or a full closure of the school, this is where we will post details of our remote learning provision.
We are pleased to welcome you to Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Primary School and hope our school website will give our parents, carers and prospective parents an insight into the life of our busy, friendly school. As a Catholic school we offer our children the opportunity to grow as young people and encourage them to develop a closer relationship with God in an atmosphere of mutual love and respect.

This school is lovely. I highly recommend. The teachers are great and like any school when there is a problem they act accordingly. It is a small community and majority of people are happy to welcome you, including parents. Mr. Beverton is the Head Teacher and sets a wonderful standard for the school.

Absolutely terrible. The crushing atmosphere on the children in this school is apparent with children who are unhappy and uninspired as noted by the most recent ofsted report. Lack of progression for the children and tiny play area with no green space for the children. The new head master is terrible- when complaints are raised against the school threats and reprisals against the parents raising issue are common place rather than using constructive criticism to improve the school and childrens welfare.
Much like the old authority of the 60's of the catholic church where cover ups and authoritarianism
