We believe that everyone is an individual, we encourage our pupils to reach their full potential in a happy, safe and caring environment. Within our community, we provide a foundation for enthusiastic life long learning, based on Christian values. Our school was built in 1853 as a Voluntary Controlled Church of England School.

Together with the Church of St James the Less it has been at the heart of the village community for over 160 years. The school has a strong Christian ethos and a link with the church is evident in all it does. Christian symbols are evident throughout the building and displays are regularly linked to stories from the Bible.
Services
In this school the children, their parents, staff and governors work together to create an environment where each child will achieve their potential. We offer high quality teaching and learning, which encourages and stimulates the children to be independent, well-motivated and happy to learn. One of the keys to being a successful small school is that each child here is known and is treated as an individual.
I moved to Nutley 10 years ago having taken early retirement from my job as European finance director of a global medical device company. I am married with 4 grandchildren and 2 of them attend the primary school. This is a very challenging time for all small village schools so I will use my experience to work with the governing body to ensure an exciting future for the school.
We endeavour to encourage a love of lifelong learning. This involves engaging children at a young age in wanting to find out about the world in which they live, however it also encompasses staff. The aim will be to create a 'hub' of learning, not just for the children but for everyone here at Nutley CE Primary School.
At Nutley, we believe that every child will succeed and experience success across the curriculum. We are working on ensuring children progress year-on-year with their knowledge and skills in all curriculum areas. These are just some of the aspects our children experience in order to stand them in good stead for life long learning.
At Nutley Church of England Primary School we are committed to the safeguarding and welfare of all of our children. Our Child Protection policy is regularly monitored and updated. To ensure that all children are provided with a safe, happy and healthy learning environment. To ensure that all staff are aware of the necessary precautions and actions to take when dealing with child protection issues.
