Services
As a Christian school, we look to Jesus as an example of how to lead our lives day-by-day. Our St. Peter's logo represents not only our school vision, but our mission statement and ambition for all. The fish symbol is often seen in Christianity and was created using the Greek letters which spell out ICHTHUS : Jesus Christ God's Son.
For effective learning to take place, children are encouraged to make good choices and will be taught the difference between right and wrong. Our values are explored with the children in worship, in class and more widely across school life. These values collectively form the foundation of our 'Golden Key to Good Learning Behaviour' which we encourage the children to reflect upon when making choices about their actions.
This is a fantastic village school which nurtures its pupils and brings out the best in them. The inspector recognised the incredible work that goes on across the whole school to provide all our pupils with a good standard of education and the report highlights many key strengths.
The 'Quality of teaching, learning and assessment' and 'Outcomes for pupils' also feature incredibly positively in the report, with the inspector recognising, "Teaching is typically strong across classes" and, "successful actions have led to a significant rise in pupils' outcomes.Across the school, current pupils are achieving well in reading, writing and mathematics.
