Prenton Primary School
At Prenton Primary School our motto 'Believe to Achieve' is key to all we do. It encapsulates what we feel is important and that all children need confidence and faith in themselves and their own abilities whatever they may be. It is important to us that children feel inspired and empowered to give of their best and try hard.

We recognise that all children have their own particular strengths and we hope to support them in reaching their goals. These messages are further underlined as we emphasise the importance of the values: Work Hard, Be Kind and Never Give Up. You will see these messages all over school and they are woven into assemblies and PSHE lessons and rewarded and recognised in the form of stickers, certificates, postcards, letters home and trophies.
Services
CAMHS: Child Adolescent Mental Health Services - CAMHS are a specialist NHS service. In order to find your local CAMHS service, speak to your GP who can refer you or alternatively search online for Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services in your area. Children and young people and their families can be referred to CAMHS if children are finding it hard to cope with family life, school or the wider world.
School Council is the voice of the pupils at Prenton Primary School. Each September a girl and a boy from each class, from year 2 to year 5, are elected as school council members for that school year. The school council members are also the Eco-team and the Rotakids team.

Meetings are held at least once per half term and the council will discuss any relevant issues that have ranged from playground games, to choices on the lunch menu to choosing new magazines for the library.
The Government define bullying as 'emotionally or physically harmful behaviour and includes: name-calling; taunting; mocking; making offensive comments; kicking; hitting; pushing; taking belongings; inappropriate text messaging and emailing; sending offensive or degrading images by phone or via the internet; gossiping; excluding people from groups and spreading hurtful and untruthful rumours.'
In order to encourage our pupils to become more physically active, we have developed new initiatives that will be rolled out during the academic year. The aim is get children active; improve their self-confidence; enhance key parts of their character such as resilience and ultimately produce more healthy and happy pupils.
Many thanks to our parents and carers who took part in the online survey on our recent Parents' Evenings. The feedback we received will help us to continue to build upon the things that we are doing well and to respond to any concerns which may have arisen. The results of the survey were hugely encouraging, with a huge number of the questions receiving 97-99% of their responses in the Strongly Agree or Agree category.

Wonderful school, friendly and helpful staff. My children went here and were well looked after and received a great start to their education. Would recommend this school to anyone.
