Muddlebridge House
Muddlebridge House and Holiday Cottages is a delightful small self-catering complex, located just two miles west of Barnstaple and set in nearly three acres of picturesque grounds. We have seven well equipped and comfortably furnished cottages, all quite individual in interior layout, with options of 1,2 or 3 bedrooms and sleeping between 2 and 6 people, accompanied by an outstanding range of indoor and outdoor on-site facilities.

The semi-rural setting of Muddlebridge must be one of the best all-round locations in North Devon: close to local shops, supermarkets, pubs, restaurants, local services and the Tarka Trail, on an excellent bus route, and within very easy travel distance of fabulous beaches, countryside, sports facilities and a range of attractions.
Services
A 3-bedroom cottage sleeping six people plus space for a cot, accessed up a short flight of steps (with handrail) from the outer courtyard. The front door opens into a lobby with coat/boot storage cupboard, connecting by a short corridor into the spacious open-plan lounge, dining and L-shaped kitchen areas.
Muddlebridge House and Holiday Cottages occupies one of the most picturesque yet convenient semi-rural locations in North Devon. The location is enhanced by its close proximity to Fremington Quay, part of the North Devon Biosphere Reserve.

Although the tranquility of the Reserve starts just a couple of hundred metres from our drive entrance, we are fortunate in also having an excellent range of local facilities and services within about half a mile.Turn right out of our drive and immediately right again onto the single track with passing places which leads down to the stunning and popular location of Fremington Quay.
Depending on your interests, there are plenty of other things to do and places to visit in North Devon, including several small museums, art galleries, potteries and craft centres. However if you run out of ideas during your visit, we'll always be happy to give you a few more suggestions. Barnstaple is just over 2 miles east of us, with Braunton 5 miles north of Barnstaple on the other side of the Taw Estuary.
Leave the M5 southbound at Junction 27 (journey time from here to Muddlebridge in light/medium traffic is usually 45 mins). Take the A361 westbound for approx 35 miles to the Portmore roundabout on the outskirts of Barnstaple. After approx 2.5 miles, at the 3rd (Roundswell) roundabout on the A39 (with the BP garage on it), turn right [A3125] and pass Sainsburys superstore on your right.
Eating Out : a selection of the many pubs, restaurants, cafes and takeaways within 3 miles of Muddlebridge. If you would like to book somewhere for a special occasion prior to arrival, we suggest you contact us to discuss your requirements and preferences. Fremington Quay Cafe : Open all day serving varied selection of snacks, light meals, teas/coffees and cakes, ice creams.
