Services
Situated right next to the famous Marwood Hills Gardens, on the edge of the hamlet of Marwood (about 10 minutes drive from North Hill itself). Although not on our main site, you will have full access to all the facilities (eg pool) at North Hill. Glebelands offers a very cosy getaway for four people.
You can't always predict the British Weather, we all know this, and just in case it's not like the tropics outside, we have a 33ft long, indoor heated swimming pool for your enjoyment with changing room, shower and W.C. Alongside the main pool and also indoors, is a toddler pool 0.65m (just over 2ft) deep where those who can't swim unaided can be supervised safely.
When you arrive at North Hill you will want to know in advance what is provided in the Cottage and what is not. This way you won't bring unnecessary items or forget to bring something you do need. The nearest supermarkets are 4-5 miles away so the last thing you will want to do is go shopping just having arrived after a long journey, so we suggest you bring the basics and then top up during your stay as necessary.
Option 1 takes you through Barnstaple which can be very busy at peak times with slow moving traffic. As you approach Barnstaple turn right at the roundabout sign-posted A39 to Lynton and the Hospital. Follow signs to the Hospital which involves several roundabouts with right turns. Proceed until you see the hospital on your right and go straight through the lights.
This is North Devon: Isn't it nice to be spoilt for choice? North Devon offers so much variety; the seaside, the picturesque villages, Exmoor walks, surfing, National Trust properties, golden sandy beaches to name but a few choices. Rediscover the England you knew as a child. Time does not stand still in North Devon - it just moves slowly.

An amazing location , away from it all. The host was extremely helpful and friendly . The cottages are nicely furnished and they even have a log burner ! There is an indoor swimming pool with a children's pool and a hot tub - you are surrounded by sloping fields and sheep . What more would you want ?!!!!

I visited the location a couple of times over this year. I find the location quite unique but also the drive there was a little narrow and luckily not seen another one passing the other way.
The properties are very clean, I was unable to speak to the owners but the agent was very positive to help. There were some modern properties, and a great pool.
There was a small play area for my 4 year old and there was lovely walks to branch out from there with my dogs.
Having seen all accommodation, this had a lot to offer and really would love the short drive to Woolacombe Beach.
The property has a

Rung them up to check availability and potential booking involving a large group. The lady answered the phone was extremely rude. Looks nice and all but despite months of lockdown made me feel as though I was doing her a favour by enquiring. Would be frightened to make a booking thinking she will leave a bad taste in mouth and in turn ruin my holiday. So went with something similar nearby.

I have stayed in countless holiday homes across the years (my Dad even ran a holiday home letting agency in Devon) and honestly, what North Hill offers is impossible to match elsewhere. The setting is swoon, the facilities available are perfect for families or romantic escapades and the level of cleanliness would sedate Monica from Friends. I’m a very happy and returning customer and was introduced to it in 2020 so the future visits from here can only be bettered. Thank you to Carol Ann and Adrian.
