At Lion Academy Trust our sequential approach to the curriculum really lends itself to teaching History chronologically, so that from Year 1 to Year 6 children have a clear framework for organising their understanding of the past. Along the way our aim at every stage is to go above and beyond the basic expectations. The aim is to inspire children to think like historians. They work with evidence, argue for their own conclusions and learn to distinguish between historical facts and the way people interpret them.

I am proud to lead schools that serve a vibrant and diverse community in the heart of East London. I strongly believe that all children, irrespective of race, colour, creed or circumstance, have the right to a challenging, aspirational and high quality curriculum, that prepares them to become successful life long learners and to give them the best life chances.
We believe that access to an outstanding education is a right for all our children and young people. Our aim is to work in partnership with schools, enabling a locally-based education improvement solution to develop organically and to ensure that peer-to-peer support drives standards and improves outcomes for pupils and staff.
If you would like your child to attend Sybourn Primary School, visit the Waltham Forest Admissions webpage for more information. Even if your child currently attends a nursery attached to a school or has a sibling already at the school you must apply for a Reception place. Find out if any of the schools require a supplementary information form (SIF) or Catholic Certificate of Practice (CCP).
