Dromore Road Primary School is a busy community school that sits right in the heart of Warrenpoint, a wonderful place to be! We are extremely proud of our school and we pride ourselves in providing a caring ethos, where pupils are valued and feel confident in their relationships with other pupils and staff.
We encourage and support children to give of their best and strive to maintain a positive atmosphere in which they can reach their full potential. This website aims to provide you with a 'snapshot' of daily life at our school, as well as providing up to date information for pupils, parents and the wider community.

The pastoral care, general welfare and safety of the children permeates all aspects of school life. Throughout the year pastoral care and child protection issues are addressed through assemblies, visitors and workshops. Where possible, in 2020/21, online approaches will be used to facilitate the delivery of key messages from outside agencies.
In 2013 Dromore Road underwent significant building extension works and a fabulous complete refurbishment of the school building was carried out. Our new school building consists of a fantastic general office, Principal's office, large staff room and four well equipped classrooms, each with an interactive white board installed.
Dromore Road Primary School is extremely proud of its high standards in teaching and learning and the quality educational experiences we provide. The school strives to provide a broad and balanced curriculum which supports the spiritual, moral, cultural, intellectual and physical development of all pupils.
At the beginning of the year, each class elects representative to the Eco Council. The Eco Council has already met and decided that our school's focuses for the year will be recycling, health and well being and continuing to develop biodiversity within the school grounds. Our new recycling bins have arrived in school.
