The Rowe Veterinary Group was founded in 1948 by Mr John Rowe. We now have four veterinary practices in the North Bristol area, with a 24-hour hospital in Bradley Stoke, branch surgeries in Yate and Thornbury, and a veterinary surgery and MRI facility based in Wotton-under-Edge. As well as providing a high quality first opinion practice for dogs, cats, small furries, birds and exotic animals, we are home to a referral service: Rowe Referrals.
We are always there to take care of your pet, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Excellent service as always. From the moment you enter the building you are always greated with warmth and reassurance from the reception staff. All vet nurses and vets are so knowledgeable and give such sound clear advice and treatment with no hidden costs.

Services
Below is a list of some of the services that are available to help your pet. We have access, through colleagues and acquaintances, to most treatments. Please ring and ask if there is something that you are interested in or think that would help that is not shown here; we will always try to arrange it for you.
The evening will begin with a talk from our Clinical Director, who will give you a little bit more information about Rowe, a VIP behind-the-scenes tour of our practice and facilities, before an opportunity to mingle, ask questions on various different topics and enjoy some drinks and nibbles! We will also have some amazing one-night-only offers and discounts available to attendees!
The Rowe Veterinary Group, covering Bristol and South Gloucestershire, has four locations. Please see below to find out more about each location. Remember, a website is no substitute for good qualified advice. If you are in any way concerned about your pet, please contact us now and we can discuss this with you and offer some help.
Note that medications (including flea and worm products) can only be dispensed when your pet is due to have them dispensed, there is no need to stockpile these vital medications at home. Please do not phone the clinic for medication queries unless urgent as we are prioritising phone traffic for urgent and emergency care whilst we operate on a skeleton on-site team.
We believe that nutrition is an important part of keeping pets healthy and can also play a vital part in the treatment of some illnesses. This is why we stock a select range of cat and dog pet food in practice, helping to take the faff out of pet food for our clients by recommending diets that have been scientifically created to provide optimal nutrition, which tastes great!

Absolutely lovely staff and vets, but charges for medication are extreme, often more than twice the price of purchasing from legitimate Internet outlets. Also they are keen on folliw up appointments. Over forty pounds to be told in a few moments the medication has worked makes each pet event cost well over £100. As said, great people but very expensive

Really lovely people who try and make your time there as nice as possible!
All the staff were welcoming and really understanding of our little puppy's issues. They took time to explain everything in simple terms that even I can understand.
Used the before, using them now and will be using them in the future!

We decided to take our 11year old dog to Rowe in Thornbury after recently moving to the town, and after reading reviews. However, I really wish we had chosen an alternative practice after our experience.
Shortly after his first check up and throughout lockdown, our dog began to look bloated - almost like he was pregnant. We took him back for a check up but owing to C19 had to drop him off and collect after the examination.
He walked in fine but came out lame in his back leg. The vet didn't say anything had happened so I didn't think anything of it. However, after a week of not getting better
