At Avenue Veterinary Centre we believe in a proactive, preventative approach to your pet's healthcare. Your pet's wellbeing is our top priority. We want to make responsible pet ownership simple and affordable, which is why we have created the Avenue Healthcare Club. Avenue Healthcare Club provides the essential preventative healthcare that pet insurance does not cover.
Some pet owners are surprised by the cost of veterinary fees and we don't blame them. With the way that the National Health Service runs in the UK, as a culture we are not always aware of the costs of medications, surgical procedures and all the associated overheads with our own healthcare, let alone that of our beloved pets.
In our bid to promote patient welfare through preventative healthcare and advice, our clients and their pets can benefit from a variety of nurse-lead clinics. You can get incredible value for money when you register with us, as many of our nurse clinics are extremely cost effective, or even free of charge.
Cats are highly instinctive and sensitive creatures who can feel wildly out of their comfort zone whenever they leave their usual territory. Though we firmly believe that it is in their best interests to receive routine healthcare as well as treatment when unwell, we make it our mission to reduce stress in cats when they visit us.
All dogs must legally now be microchipped, and it is also a requirement of the Pet Travel Scheme, and we strongly recommend it for many other species of animals as well. Tortoises can be microchipped too! Please come to see one of our friendly vets or nurses who are experienced in placing microchips and who will talk you through the simple registration process.
