In the middle of town but hidden away behind the Town Hall with a quiet cobbled courtyard and the Old Gaol alongside we established our B&B in Swanage's first Police House nearly ten years ago. Extensively renovated and remodelled since then to provide each of our guest rooms with en-suite facilities and free Wi-Fi, furnished and decorated to a high standard, licensed and with an adult-only policy we offer a calm, relaxing yet personal ambiance.
Breakfast starts the day and sets you up to enjoy your holiday in Swanage. We know we will not disappoint you. With fresh produce we have tasted and selected from local farms and suppliers and prepared in full view of the dining room. We will serve you a magnificent breakfast - or a simple poached egg if you prefer.

Services
What you need to know before choosing to stay here at Town Hall Lodge Bed and Breakfast on the Jurassic Coast. We sell though a number of on-line travel agents who will all claim to offer you the best price. Since they do not have access to all of our room/rate options the claim is generally misleading.
Please note: Unless you book a specific room, room allocation (& availability) may change as bookings come in. So if you fancy a room other than the one(s) which seems to be available or if you are looking to stay for a couple of nights or more and nothing is showing as available for on line booking then give us a call, perhaps we can shuffle rooms around to accommodate you.
We set and control our prices here on our own website, over the phone and on any hotel booking site you can book Town Hall Lodge B&B through. The rates available on agency sites are available here too - but there are other rates and options here which are not available through any hotel or agent booking sites and could well be better for you.
Local produce, cooked to order. Our food and drink is sourced from local suppliers and producers, so you can be sure that you're getting Dorset's best. A Town Hall Lodge breakfast is the best way to start your day: Breakfast is served on the ground floor in our Coffee Shop between 8am and midday. A Full English Breakfast is still the favourite, and we offer vegetarian and lighter options.
Here at Town Hall Lodge in Swanage we have four bedrooms in our guest accommodation, allowing us to sleep up to eight guests. Just go to each room for a 360 degree tour. A good night's sleep is important and we have selected high quality beds and crisp linens for your comfort. All of our rooms have en-suite showers and a generously stocked hospitality tray, and if there is something else you need we will try to help.

Stayed for a week back in June. Gorgeous location right off the high street with eateries and the beach just a 5 mins walk away. Judie and Clive were both very friendly and breakfast was delicious.
No parking on site but plenty of free street parking within 10 mins walk and finding a spot adds to the fun!

A strange situation in having to book a night in a guesthouse during a pandemic - and very strange being the only guest allowed to stay for distancing reasons at the entrance and thus not seeing a soul until morning for an Al Fresco breakfast. However, it was a good menu and the weather was kind. A lovely place to stay. Small rooms so not really suitable for a "night in", but absolutely spotless. Parking is difficult so give yourself extra time.

Clean room and ensuite. Comfortable bed. Very central location - great for shops, beach, walking South West coastal path, pubs and restaurants. Good quality food. Quiet. We stayed at a quiet time of the year and found a good parking spot on an unrestricted road, but parking during busier periods would need to be taken into consideration.

In my opinion and in all the years I have stayed in B/B's, I must say Town Hall Lodge in the heart of Swanage has to rate on of the very best. The location is perfect for walking out and about. It is clean, comfy, quiet and the breakfast that Judie and Clive presented to us was first class, plentiful and very tasty. Customer Service was excellent and it was lovely chatting to Judie after breakfast. My partner and I really enjoyed our one night stay there.
Although Town Hall Lodge does not have it's own parking facilities, one can easily find spaces in nearby streets, so this certainly does not

I'm pretty happy about being the first person to review this lovely B&B, as I hope someone else stumbles across this amazing find and looks for reviews.
I'd highly recommend anyone heading to Swanage to stay in this cute building.
Located being the town hall, which is a gorgeous building itself, is a lovely lodge with a handful of neatly presented rooms.
We stayed for a couple of nights and the hosts were extremely accommodating, even leaving their Friday night plans to come and meet us on our late arrival.
The double room was a decent size, hand a huge comfy bed, a lovely tray

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Very comfortable, well located for Swanage shops, restaurants and waterfront, excellent breakfasts as other visitors have commented. We were particularly impressed when we accidentally left a bag behind and Judie made great efforts to contact us about it before we had had time to get far away.
