The Grand Hotel, Swanage is a classic Victorian seaside hotel that nestles in the heart of the beautiful Isle of Purbeck and dates back to 1898. It commands spectacular views across Swanage Bay and Peveril Point and many of the bedrooms and public areas take advantage of these delightful views. On summer days the garden is the perfect place to soak up the sun, whilst enjoying a refreshing glass of wine or dining Al Fresco.

Stroll along our sandy beach, which can be accessed directly from the garden. Limited - free parking is available. We regret that we can not reserve parking. Our 30 en-suite bedrooms comprise flat-screen televisions, direct dial telephones, hairdryers, Free Wi-Fi & tea, and coffee-making facilities.

Looked lovely, smelled of bleach and after waiting in the lounge as directed for ten minutes with no service decided to move to another location...🙄🙄🙄

A lovely hotel with very friendly staff serving excellent meals. Our sea view room offered wonderful views across Swanage and out to sea. Booked through Travelzoo to obtain excellent value stay.

A great hotel in a a beautiful location offering panoramic views over the bay at Swanage. Friendly, welcoming staff, a comfortable lounge bar complete with grand piano, good English Breakfast to set you up for a day on the glorious Dorset coast

We had our wedding reception here on 5th November. The staff were brilliant and the food was lovely. They accommodated us really well, nothing was too much trouble. All the staff acted professional and stayed in good spirit throughout the day. The venue was very clean and having the sea view from each window made it perfect.
We also stayed the night at the grand and really enjoyed our stay. The room had a sea view and a very modern bathroom, again also very clean.
Breakfast was lovely too. The manager lindsey did such a good job of making our day go so smoothly and the staff who worked that day

Loved the weekend spent here. Staff friendly and helpful. Will certainly visit again. Only issue is the lack of parking, just 7 spaces for the entire hotel. It's a long up hill walk from the nearest public car park, so suggest you drop your luggage first.(especially if you are disabled)

We were staying close by and used the pool facilities. We purchased a week pass, which suited us perfectly. The pool is small but for a bit of a dip and use of the spa as well its fine.

Amazing hotel with beautiful gardens looking over the sea. Staff were so kind and helpful. I'm vegan and chef adapted meals for me. Breakfast had vegan options. Rooms were basic but clean. A large fan was provided as weather was super warm. Short walk to town provided us with other options to eat.

Great weekend away, lovely and comfortable room. Hotel clean and welcoming. Staff attentive, spa area very nice. Good great and not over priced. Absolutely wonderful position overlooking Swanage bay with private access to the beach and bar.
