SUPERB..new management on board. Great food, decent beer. Great atmosphere and friendly service. Thoroughly relaxed and great value. £70 notes..starters, mains and pud and more than a couple of bevvies. Just what was needed after a day in the beautiful weather our beloved country is proud of... Rain. Resilience UK!

A beautiful guest house, with so much character and lots of attention to detail in the decor. Incredibly clean, our room was huge with a four poster bed, a little separate sitting area and good size bathroom. The staff were friendly and helpful and I was lucky to have a gluten free breakfast that was really tasty, and cooked well. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again, far better than staying in a massive corporate/chain hotel.

First things first. We were greeted by a delightful elderly gentleman who was patient and accommodating of our requests from late arrival to cutlery for our dining in room. Can not fault his service. 5 stars for him.
However, our room was expensive for what you get. Admittedly we arrived on a back holiday weekend but the room we had requires refurbishment. Bathroom is tiny and shower is fiddly. In the morning my wife went down for breakfast and couldn't remember her room number. The lady made a bit of a scene and forced her upstairs to confirm the room before letting her eat which was completely
