We are peacefully situated in the heart of Alum Chine only 200 metres from the sea, also we are ideally situated close to the Bournemouth International Centre (BIC) and all other major tourist attractions. There is a regular bus service into the town centre. Our range of bedrooms will suit all tastes. Some have sea views and all are tastefully furnished and decorated for your comfort and relaxation with en-suite facilities, hospitality tray and digital television. Note we do not take large single sex groups.

The Alum Dene Hotel, originally a Victorian residence built in 1884, was converted to a hotel in the 1950s and still retains many of its original features. David and Rita have run this family business for over 20 years. Ensuring that guests can look forward to a relaxing and enjoyable stay the proprietors, David and Rita, create a warm and happy atmosphere by providing good, efficient and friendly personal service, always.
Senior citizens discounts apply for weekly bookings based on two sharing, excluding July and August. Children 6-10 years sharing with two adults half adult price. Cancellation of your confirmed bookings will be subject to two thirds of the charge, if accommodation is not re-let. We strongly advise guests to obtain insurance to cover this.

Me and my partner have stayed here two years running and only positives to say. Lovely staff, spacious rooms that are quiet and clean.
Scott is welcoming, friendly, polite and does all he can to give you the best stay possible. Shout out for giving us a lift to the station also!
Rita & David are down to earth, welcoming and very funny. It is clear why they get so many goox reviews.

Lovely family run bed and breakfast, literally 2 minutes walk to the beach. I've stayed there on several occasions now, and every time my two dogs and I were made to feel welcome. Clean rooms and delicious, freshly cooked English breakfast. The owners are very helpful, and knowledgeable about the area. I would definitely recommend Alum Dene Hotel, and look forward to staying there again next time I'm in the area.

Just returned from a fortnight stay, third visit here. Husband suffers with mobility issues. We made arrangements beforehand to take a perch stool, over toilet seat and bed leaver which were received without ado. In addition to the ever warm welcome and good food this helps to make the holiday knowing there will be no problems on arrival. Thank you once again to Rita David and Scott.
