All fine, nothing to complain about. Very friendly staff and breakfast. Nice location with a pretty view. Could do with a modernisation and interior upgrade though.

We stayed in the hotel for NYE and it was so good! The staff is super friendly and always have a smile. The food was delicious and portions very generous. The hotel put together a NYE dinner and celebration that was delicious and super fun!
I would say that the only downside is that rooms are a little bit small (and beds too!). I think we got one of the older rooms but there seem to be refurbished ones that are nicer.
All in all great experience, definitely recommend!

Staying in the bungalow, disappointingly old fashioned and in need of updating, bed linen also also past it sell by,no ice cube tray or pan scrubber, cheap items we could purchase but at this price for a week perhaps we won't go there, television has annoying bright spots on screen while watching, parking outside was good but negotiating turning round to exit not easy..
Easy walk into Swanage and access to the coast path were plus points.

If you book this hotel be sure to arrive exactly at 15:00 because your room will “not be ready” ! If you ask the receptionist you will be offered a : “no” and that’s it !!!! When you eventually will get the room, be prepared to get an old key with the biggest key ring ever that doesn’t fit anywhere !!!
The room is average with squeaky floor and poorly clean sheets ! The room is overall very poorly cleaned with foreign hairs all over the beds as well as bathroom.
The check out is at 10:30 !!!! So if you are a late starter book at another hotel !
So in total for a night at 159£

Popped in for afternoon tea.
A few days at this quiet, perfectly located gem is a wonderful place to enjoy the lovely coastline around Swanage.
Ideal for those needing to break up away from a hectic schedule, recover from a stressful event or simply enjoy time to reflect, read, relax by enjoying the view or walk along the beach.
Service was good at reception & in the lounge.
Bookings are popular over weekends during Summer months. Plan & make a reservation ahead to avoid disappointment.
Definitely on my "bucket list"!

We stayed here for 2 nights in a dog friendly room. Dogs not allowed in the bar or restaurant but we had room service for dinner and breakfast. All the staff are very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. The food is excellent and our room overlooked the sea with steps down to the private beach. We will definatly be returning.

Expensive at £224 p.n. for a small sea-facing double room. The 4'6" double bed took up virtually all the floor area! Room also very hot with only a small window. Sound proofing poor.
No facilities, other than a lounge with bar and the dining room.
Food good for dinner and breakfast. Waiting staff welcoming, friendly and engaging. Free on site parking.
A 15 minute stroll to the town centre. Be aware 144 steps from garden to the beach though.

Overall the hotel is in good order and the staff is friendly.
Dogs are allowed in the rooms.
It is not possible to feel real cosiness.
The rooms and the public areas have their best years behind them. Nevertheless, it seems relatively well maintained.

In the double bed you lie on one mattress and share a large blanket. The ambient noise (from the other rooms and also from outside) is extremely loud.
If you have a light sleep, you will probably sleep badly.
The breakfast (service at the table, because Corona) was very good and the choice was large.

I was here for a family event this week (Feb 15/16). This turned out to be a very pleasant sea side hotel. I had a small room with a comfortable bed, nicely appointed shower and rest of bathroom.
I felt pretty confined - I am a largish person and the room wasn't big enough to swing a cat in.
It was much too warm when I checked in. But that was easily remedied.
Coffee, tea and biscuits of course in the room.
Nice breakfast too. Traditional English done nicely.
Dinner in the restaurant was nice. Nothing to write home about, but competently done. Chicken wasn't dry!!!
I do like to go to
