Y6 have been learning about the causes and impact of climate change with Nat from Sustrans. Year 3 topped off their Science week activities last week by trying to find out what makes things float and sink, which culminated in a very competitive 'raft off'!' The winning raft held over 120 bricks!

As an academy, we still have a governing body, now known as the LGC or Local Governing Committee. Much of the work of the school is delegated from the MAT trust board to the LGC. Governors play a key role in ensuring that the school runs smoothly, effectively and provides good value for money.

In 2019, 82% of our pupils achieved the expected standard in Reading, Writing and Maths, combined (compared with 65% nationally). 23% of our pupils achieved a high level of attainment in Reading, Writing and Maths, combined (national: 11%). Writing: 52% high scores (national: 20%) (in writing this is teacher assessment of children working at a greater depth).

You will be shown round the school by the head or deputy head during the school day and have a chance to ask questions about the school as well as seeing us in action on a normal day.
