Our school mission statement is reflected within this image, devised and created by the staff, pupils and governors of St. George's school in York. At the centre of all that we do is the message and teachings of Jesus. Through his example, we all strive to make St. George's a happy and safe place for all: a place in which everybody is helped to be the best that they can be.
St George's School, in the Diocese of Middlesbrough, draws strength from many sources. It has firm roots established in 1852. The determination and dedication of all who created the school and taught in it over the years are somehow part of the fabric of the building. In a tangible way their spirit is passed down to the present teachers.
The Chaplaincy team are responsible for looking after the spiritual side of school. We are the links and bridges between the Church, the school and our local and wider communities.
