Our personalised approach extends throughout a child's school career from the initial home visit in Early Years when staff take the time to get to know the parent and child through to ensuring that our Year 6 pupils are fully prepared for the transition to secondary school.We are a friendly and inclusive school where children settle in quickly and make good progress.

All admissions from Reception to Year 6 are managed by the local authority. We are doing Virtual Tours for Reception 2021 intake and therefore Zoom Meetings can be booked with the Headteacher. Please can you email school@barncroft.waltham.sch.uk and let us know which date you would like to be booked onto and we can take it from there.
The Governing Body has a strategic responsibility for leading the school effectively. As Governors we are committed to supporting the Headteacher and staff in providing the best possible education for children attending the nursery and primary at Barn Croft.
Governors meet on many occasions during the school year and are particularly responsible for helping to decide on the school's curriculum, helping with the appointment of staff, assisting in setting standards of behaviour, and overseeing the spending of the school budget.The Governing Body includes two parents with children in the school, who help the Governors keep in tune with parental requirements.
