Services
On behalf of the children staff and governors I would like to warmly welcome you to St Ignatius. As a Catholic community we support both children and adults in living by the values we find in the Gospel. St Ignatius is a friendly, busy and happy environment where our children enjoy learning. Our children have wonderful talents and we do all we can to develop them in ambitious and exciting ways.
I have lived in North London for many years and have been active in many organisations following my retirement from the public sector. I retired from teaching at St. Ignatius College, Enfield in 2016. I taught there for 32 years and wore a variety of hats, ending up as Headmaster during my last two years.
Our children work hard and we are proud of the results they achieve. Like them, we constantly strive to improve the quality of the education we offer and there two ways we monitor our progress against national targets. Our school is routinely inspected by OFSTED and by the Diocese of Westminster to see the progress we are making.
Online Safety is an integral part of children's education in today's digital world and is embedded in their learning at school. As a school we understand the importance of supporting parents/carers to improve their own understanding of online safety issues, so you can engage with your children regarding their use of the internet while at home.
We are proud of our school uniform and of the image it gives of the school. It helps us if all children come to school in correct school uniform and with all items of clothing and footwear clearly labelled with the pupil's name. We encourage children to become independent so please consider this when buying uniform and only buy clothing and shoes that your child can put on and take off without much assistance.

That last comment was well said! Head teacher walked out of a meeting I had with him I thought that was unprofessional because I addressed him about a teacher shouting at me and my child and never returned and didnt speak to me since just like one of the head teachers, the other lady is understanding and lovely. All they do is tell you bad stuff about your child and never listen to your point as a parent! Iv made sure iv reported that I noticed a lot of kids moving schools.
