Riseley C of E Primary School was founded in 1841 to provide education according to the principles and practices of the Church of England. It is part of the maintained system of education and is operated in partnership with the Local Authority. The school caters for children between the ages of 3 and 11.
At age 11, pupils transfer to Sharnbrook Upper School. Children are normally offered places in the Nursery (Foundation Stage) for the term after their 3rd birthday, providing places are available. They will then move to Reception class in the September after their fourth birthday.

Services
Riseley Church of England Primary School is situated in Riseley Village in North Bedfordshire. We are a single form entry Primary School which also has a superb Nursery, run by our dedicated and hardworking staff. Riseley Primary is a Church of England School which has close links to our village church, All Saint's and is part of the Diocese of St. Albans.
At Riseley C of E Primary School we are proud to be an inclusive school where we work together to challenge, inspire and motivate all children to become successful in 'Learning for Life'. We expect children and staff to share experiences based on Christian Values, so that pupils can learn effectively and reach their full potential.
As a church school we believe in the importance of a values-led curriculum which puts good relationships and morals at the heart of our school community and continues to underpin the drive to improve standards. We feel that our strong focus on values supports our calm and purposeful school ethos and this is something our parents and visitors often comment on.
Mrs Sheila Gibson is the Clerk to the Governing Body and can be contacted through the school. Full Governors' meetings are held at least twice a term and the agenda for the latest meeting can be found in the Governors section of the school website. Minutes of meetings can be obtained from the Clerk to the Governing Body.
Like all schools, we are subject to inspection by OFSTED on a regular basis. As a Church School we are also subject to regular inspections through the National Society. The SIAMS inspection (Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools) focuses on the distinctiveness of our school as a Church School and takes place every five years.

Yesterday, with my business Immersive Theatres, I delivered a 7m digital planetarium experience to all 220 students at Riseley Primary School. I was warmly welcomed by the staff and found the hall prepared just as I had requested. The day was well organised with all groups arriving on time. The excited students enjoyed a rich selection of content: peering up at the planetarium night sky; visiting the International Space Station; learning about a future colonised Solar System; space shapes and how British scientists search for real aliens. Thank you Riseley Primary for a very pleasant visit.
