We are privileged to see unfolding stories every day. In the years since we opened, we have grown from a new school of 45 children to a full school, firmly established at the centre of its community, with 420 children. Our primary aim for all of our children, their families and our staff is to continually strive to be the very best that they can be.
We set and expect excellent standards in the classroom through an inclusive curriculum that is creative, innovative and challenging. We are all expected to work hard, to be resilient, to embrace new experiences and to learn from mistakes in order to achieve greater outcomes.

Services
A happy, welcoming and caring ethos; building positive partnerships to enhance everyone's capacity to learn. An inclusive curriculum that is creative, innovative and challenging; inspiring children to explore, learn and grow. High quality teaching ensuring high standards of achievement; enabling all children to achieve their best.
We meet consistently as a full Governing Board to ensure that all Governors are kept fully abreast of school matters at all times. Hence, we do not have a committee structure. The Full Governing Board meets 6 times a year, aligning these meetings with key financial and academic dates in the school year.
Once these mathematical concepts have been taught, children need time to practise and develop their confidence with arithmetic calculations. Arithmetic is assessed throughout the year and this information will be shared with you so that you can see exactly which skills your child may need to practise.
The National Curriculum expectations are that all pupils will learn their times tables facts, up to 12x12 by the end of Year 4. This includes the associated division facts. Some children can learn their times tables facts quickly. For many children though, it can be an on-going battle and can be the reason they don't see themselves as Mathematicians.
At Broughton Fields Primary School, we aim for our children to become enthusiastic, competent writers. Children who gain a love of language, grammar, storytelling and fact telling, through reading, will become the most successful writers. Using reading as the basis for all our writing will provide children with the opportunity to hear, see and read high quality texts and stimulate and engage their imagination.

Absolutely lovely school!! Both my children are very happy and well taken care of here by excellent teachers and very professional staff.
There is a warm, welcoming and friendly atmosphere as soon as you walk through the door. I really feel the personal touch, love and care invested in each student with their individual talents and needs.
My son truly discovered his full potential here and is now excelling at Oakgrove Middle School. Special thanks to school head master Mr Hern.
