Thank you for taking the time to look at our website. I am very proud to be the Head Teacher of Great Linford Primary School; I am supported by a fantastic team and our local community. We were graded as Outstanding for Effective Leadership and Management and Outstanding for Personal Development, Behaviour and Welfare. Throughout my seven years here, I have seen our school go from strength to strength.
As a result of consistently strong teaching across the school, the standards our children achieve in reading, writing and maths have continued to rise, seeing the number of children achieving expected standards exceed the national average in all three subjects at the end of both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. The number of children who achieve a higher standard also exceeds the national average in reading, writing, maths and grammar.

Phonics support during school closure: We have made all previous videos and additional flashcards available to view/download. See below. Phonics: Children in years 1 and 2 have now been grouped and have started their phonics lessons. Key words, flashcards and rhymes to support your child at home can be downloaded below.
At the end of Year 1, typically in June, your children will sit the Phonics screening test. It involves asking your children to read 40 words, half of which are made up (these are called "alien" words, and have a picture of an alien next to them). The pass mark per pupil is not known at the time of the tests, but is announced just before the last submission date (typically in late June).
