Springfield Primary School
The early learning goals at EYFS are very much focused on the memories of the child. It may be that they are asked to remember a special event or routine or custom for their family. They may talk about differences between different family members or different generations. During Key Stage 1 our pupils will learn about specific people or events that are both within and beyond living history.

The pupils will find out about significant men, women, children and events from the recent and more distant past, including those from both Britain and the wider world. They will learn how the past is different from the present and develop an awareness of the past, using common words and phrases relating to the passing of time.
Services
We aim to offer our pupils rich and exciting learning opportunities that will nurture them to achieve and develop, and inspire them to do their very best. We want our children to leave us as confident and respectful young people, equipped with the knowledge and skills they need to empower their futures.
The pupil premium is additional funding available for publicly funded schools in England. It is designed to help disadvantaged pupils of all abilities perform better and close the gap between them and their peers.

Consistent with our vision of 'Working together - Empowering Learning', Springfield Primary aims to maximise the impact of pupil premium funding, while ensuring that we adhere to the government guidance: Pupil Premium: funding and accountability for schools.
At Springfield Primary School we recognise the value of sports and physical activity in ensuring that children lead active, healthy and happy lives. PE and Sport provide our children with opportunities to develop the important qualities of self-control, determination, communication, team work and commitment.
At Springfield Primary School we aim to offer all our pupils rich and exciting learning opportunities that will nurture them to achieve, develop and inspire them to do their very best. We understand that children learn in different ways and sometimes, some children need something a little more than the high quality teaching we provide.
The Parent Teacher Association is very proactive in supporting Springfield. The members offer to help when convenient for them - some support events during the day, some in the evening and others help by completing admin tasks at home. If you would like to get to know other parents and staff in a friendly setting.
