It gives me great pleasure to introduce St Edmund's Catholic Primary School, the school is a very special place which serves the area of New Church Farm. As a staff, we strive to provide our children with the very best education which will prepare them for their future by providing them with better outcomes resulting in a positive future.
St Edmund's is one of six catholic schools in the Catholic Community of Skelmersdale that is served by three churches. As one parish we strive to build a living community of family and friends. Together we try to love one another and put into practice the way Jesus taught us to live. We believe that belonging to the Church enriches lives on so many different levels and in so many different ways.
Fill us with your spirit and courage so that we might bring our talents and gifts to this important work. Work on enhancing their ability to understand data and what needs to be done where indicated by the data;. Wish to hear from middle leaders about their work and future plans and how these link to the larger school improvement plan;.
Our School Council consists of nine children, two representatives from each class from years three to five and our three house captains. Children are nominated by their friends or can nominate themselves for the role and are asked to produce a short speech outlining why they would like to be a class representative and what they can bring to the role.
At St Edmund's School, our great school lunches are provided by Denise and her team from Lancashire County Council Commercial Group. LCCG uses an industry recognised nutritional software system to ensure that menus are nutritionally balanced and meet the tough nutrient based food standards.
These menus aim to help children enjoy healthy balanced meals containing lower fat, protein items and plenty of starchy carbohydrates, accompanied by lots of vegetables, salad and fruit.Using healthier ingredients for the recipes and ideas from children the menus have been developed to meet the Government's nutritional standards.
