It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the Crawford Village Primary School website. I hope that you will find much to interest you. Here you will be able to discover what makes Crawford such a special place, why children love to be here and why they remember it with such affection after they have left.
Crawford Village is a school which is filled with a buzz of happy activity and the warmth of positive relationships between pupils and adults. The children are taught a broad and balanced curriculum by wonderful teachers, and the academic standards are high; but our school is about so much more than this.

Services
All the children and staff have been learning about values and how they guide our behaviour. Together, we have decided on six school values which we will help us grow into responsible, respectful and successful members of society. Our Values Champions promote these values and look out for children and adults displaying them in school.
At Crawford Village Primary School we believe a high-quality history education will help pupils gain a coherent knowledge and understanding of Britain's past and that of the wider world. It should inspire pupils' curiosity to know more about the past. Our teaching equips pupils to ask perceptive questions, think critically, weigh evidence, sift arguments, and develop perspective and judgement.
The school was built in 1913 and still retains much of its original character giving it the feeling of being a truly authentic rural village school. The main corridor is the central hub of the school. With a lantern skylight, the area is bright and welcoming whilst also functioning as additional classroom space for groups of children.
At Crawford Village Primary School, we strive to ensure that all children feel happy, safe, secure and truly valued as individuals in our school family. Our vibrant and exciting curriculum embraces the community in which we are situated, recognising local history, heritage, geography, business links and, most importantly, the aspirations of all our children.
What does a Governor do? School governors are people who want to make a positive contribution to children's education. Governors are one of the largest volunteer forces in the country and have an important part to play in raising school standards. The role of the governing board is absolutely key to the effectiveness of a school.

Such a lovely school!! Our daughter loves it here, and the attention she gets from being in a small school has meant her development has come on so quickly compared to others we know of the same age. The staff are really friendly and welcoming, the facilities are excellent, there's nothing not to like about Crawford Primary!
