We all know it's not easy knowing which school will promote excitement, which school will motivate and encourage, which school will develop and challenge, which school will unlock potential, which school will inspire and promote the highest of expectations and finally which school will you trust, day in and day out with your most precious treasure, "your child."

You can trust us to provide a creative and stimulating environment designed to support a child's magical journey of exploration and discovery. You can trust us to recruit adults who open doors to possibilities, exposing our children to the wonders and mysteries of our world. You can trust us to devise a curriculum which imparts knowledge in a unique and vibrant manner enabling both active teaching and incidental learning to go hand in hand.

Child Tax Credit, not entitled to Working Tax Credit and household income less than 16,190. Working Tax Credit 'run on' - the payment you receive for a further four weeks after you finish work.
Our curriculum vision is based on a 'learning journey' along a smooth and continuous pathway, with numerous exciting opportunities and experiences to explore along the way.

A magical journey allowing children time to be children, some racing ahead, some taking it more steady, some straying off the path to look at something eye catching, always in a supportive, safe and stimulating environment full of enabling adults just as much caught up in the excitement of the journey.
The Catholic Community of Skelmersdale is served by three churches and five primary schools, alongside a high school. As one parish we strive to build a living community of family and friends. Together we try to love one another and put into practice the way Jesus taught us to live. We believe that belonging to the Church enriches lives on so many different levels and in so many different ways.
The governors at St John's Catholic Primary School have adopted the 'Journey In Love' programme to support the non-statutory relationships and sex education across the school from Nursery to Year 6. The programme of study is authentic to the teaching of the Catholic Church. An aspect of the mystery of love is taught in each year group; children are encouraged to marvel at the wonder and beauty of God's creative love.
