Children can start with us from the age of 2 in our Young Explorers Nursery, then move into pre-school before beginning their more formal education in our Reception class.We have a strong nurturing ethos and recently achieved the Nurturing Schools Award, of which we are very proud. The school is currently extending and over the next few years will continue to grow until we are fully 2-form entry by 2022.

Services
Marsh Green is a primary school within the Borough of Wigan and currently there are 368 pupils on roll. The school is extending from a single form entry to a double form entry. We currently have two Reception classes, two Year 1 classes and two Year 2 classes. From September we will have two Year 3 classes and this will continue until we are full by 2022.
If your child has a place in any of the clubs after school and they no longer wish to attend these clubs please inform school as soon as possible as there is quite often a waiting list and another child could be given the place. Please call the school office if you would like a place for your child for Breakfast Club or After School care.
At Marsh Green we offer wrap-a-round care for our children. This begins with our Early Birds Breakfast Club, which opens at 7:30am each morning. Children are invited to choose from a wide range of breakfast foods including, cereal, toast, bagels, crumpets and drinks. We aim to provide a homely, friendly feel for children who start the day with us and there are a variety of activities on offer, from colouring, role play, board games and Wii Fit.
