Bovington Nursery

Our aim and commitment to each child is to provide a safe and secure environment in which they may develop both emotionally and educationally at a pace appropriate to the individual and to ensure that this is enjoyable for every child in our care. We are here to make sure that 'Every Child Matters.'

We follow the 'Early Years Foundation Stage' framework. You may see your child's records at any time using the FirstSteps Parent Link software. These records are confidential and only those staff with a 'need to know' have access to them. Each child has a nominated key person with special responsibility for that child.

We are a committee run nursery and all parents are welcome to become members. The committee meets every term, although it can be more often if necessary, to discuss all nursery matters. A list of committee members can be found on the notice board in the entrance hall along with a comment box for parents and staff.

We provide a morning snack. The time will vary according to which room your child is in. We offer water or milk to drink, please can you put your child's preference on their registration form. Water is available throughout the day. Toast is available once a week for each room, other snacks we have will vary from day to day and will be in keeping with our 'healthy eating' policy.

We are not able to leave the building until all children have been collected by their nominated parent/carer, so whilst we will always remain with your child if you are unavoidably detained, we do ask for your co-operation in the prompt collection of you child. Morning sessions must be booked in advance in order that the regulation maximum number of children in the class is not exceeded.
