Services
Our baby unit has been specially designed for our youngest children to give a feeling of warmth and security combined with a selection of carefully chosen toys and activities. Our baby unit offers a separate sleeping area so your child can sleep and have naps whenever needed. We also have a separate "little garden" which is shared with the toddlers.
The Toddler Room is for children aged approximately 2-3 years old. This is an exciting time for your child with many new challenges, experiences and opportunities. A real time of learning and exploration! This is also a time when children are developing their independence but also need support and encouragement to build their self-esteem and positive attachments.
At Jack and Jill Nursery the pre-school room has been designed to cater for children from 3 years to pre-school age. This is the time when your child will be developing their independence, self-esteem, self-confidence and resilience, ready for the challenge of moving to primary school.
Our dedicated practitioners use "planning in the moment" to ensure that each child reaches their individual potential this will be based around the children's interests and their next steps in development. It also includes the world around them such as the seasons, the weather or life cycle. The caf style snack table encourages the children to try a selection of different food types, to build an understanding of a healthy and balanced diet.

We encourage our children to spend as much time as possible outside in the fresh air and we foster a love of outdoor exploration and fun - whatever the weather!. We have a "big garden" which is mainly for our pre-school children and older toddlers and a "small garden" for our children aged under 2. All children have daily outdoor play and outdoor learning sessions.
We base our curriculum around the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) set within the context of family, local community, changing seasons and special days of the year. We encourage child-initiated activities to develop independence.
As each child develops at a different rate, our staff will monitor and assess each child individually and on a daily basis to provide the best possible activities and experiences to extend their learning and development.Every child deserves the best possible start in life to fulfil their potential.

Our two daughters attend Jack and Jill’s and every morning, without fail, are so excited to attend! The eldest has attended from 8 months and is now in the pre school room with the youngest in the under 2s. The staff have been incredibly supportive throughout their journey reassuring us by phone, FAMLY and at drop off and pick up how they are… getting on. It is clear the staff at Jack and Jill’s know our children and excel in their child centred approach- they take an interest in their home life and throughout lockdown continued communication and provided resources to assist

My daughter started Jack and Jill’s last September and has gained so much from her time there. All the staff are so friendly and really take the time to get to know the children. My daughter has come on leaps and bounds and her confidence is growing and most importantly she’s happy there. She loves all the fun activities Jack and Jill’s offer and both myself and my husband love the fact that they are really working hard to prepare the children for school. Highly recommend Jack and Jill’s for your child’s early years education. Xx

My 3 year old son started here in January, he initially struggled with me dropping him off and leaving but the whole team at Jack and Jill's were so supportive and understanding and really helped him settle in. He made lots of new friends and his confidence and learning grew so much. He is very excited about returning next week and he can't wait to see all the other kids and the J&J team! ❤️

I have started with Jack and Jill Nursery part time last year in April as I had concerns my boy doesn't learn enough at the childminder and not enough children’s his age to socialise/integrate and to be ready for school for September last year. After a month I was so pleased with the outcome at Jack and Jill that he went on full time and his 2… years old sister shortly followed too. He was so happy to go back to the nursery and wouldn't want to go back to the childminder. I am a single parent working full time and for me it is important my children are happy and well looked after when
