St Agnes' Catholic Primary School
Our school has a long history and reputation for offering children an excellent education in a stable and ordered environment. Every person in our school community is respected and valued as a unique individual. Visitors to our school frequently remark on the happy, family atmosphere that exists here.

In partnership with parents and the wider parish and local communities, we aim to build upon and develop a wealth of experience and skills in the hope of creating a caring and stimulating environment and forming spiritually developed young people.
Services
Governors are volunteers who collectively make up the school's Governing Body. The overall responsibility of the Governing Body is to support the school to provide the best possible education for all children. Governors serve for four years although they may be re-appointed for a further period after this time.
The Government has asked all Local Authorities in the UK to publish, in one place, information about the services and provision they expect to be available in their area for children and young people from 0 to 25 who have Special Educational Needs and/or a Disability (SEND). St Agnes' School aims for all children to be included, regardless of whether they have special educational needs or not.
Our School Council is made up of representatives from Years 2-6 who are democratically elected each September by their classmates. The Council meets regularly to discuss issues brought to the table through Class Councils. Under the guidance of Mrs Hogg, members of Year 6 are responsible for chairing and minuting meetings.
St Agnes School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This means that we have a Child Protection Policy and procedures in place. All staff (including supply staff, volunteers and governors) must ensure that they are aware of these procedures.
We value every individual and strive to maximise the opportunities for his/her intellectual, moral, spiritual, physical, aesthetic and social development. We view the curriculum as a holistic range of experiences and disciplines that are used to help us achieve our aims for our pupils. It consists of the study of academic subjects as well as the wide range of opportunities that are offered to the children during their time at St Agnes'.
