Brightstart provides a safe, prepared and calm environment in which children are free to learn naturally from their surroundings. We cater for children between 2 years old and school age. We have been established in North Walsham since 1996. All children receive Norfolk County Council funding from the start of the term after their third birthday.
This funding covers 15 hours per week. Some children are eligible for 30 hours funding per week, depending on parent / carer circumstances. In addition, some two year old children are entitled to County Council funding. Any additional hours for funded children and sessions for children who do not receive funding are invoiced termly.

At Brightstart, we aim to provide a happy, secure environment where children learn and play together in harmony, regardless of ability, gender, race of religion. It is our purpose to provide care and education of the highest quality that will enable our children to become successful learners, confident individuals and responsible citizens.
At Brightstart, our Montessori classroom is a prepared and ordered environment which the children are free to explore. It is equipped with child-size furnishings and the educational materials are all within the children's reach. The children may choose the materials with which to work and they can work alone or initiate group activities.
The Montessori Method is a comprehensive system of childhood education named after its founder, Dr. Maria Montessori. Dr. Montessori was a female Italian doctor, who worked with children at the start of the twentieth century. By her own careful observation, she discovered some of the most crucial of childhood needs.
My son is always happy to go to Nursery and talks about the staff and children constantly at home. I honestly think you all do an amazing job and the difference in his confidence since starting is proof of that. I'm very grateful to you for all the support, care and guidance you have given my children over the past few years.
