The latter dating from the 1920's and a listed building, the former being of 1960's construction. Plans are currently being drawn for a 8m refurbishment programme.

It is our school policy that all children wear uniform when attending school or when participating in a school organised event outside of school hours. Is regarded as suitable wear for school and is considered by parents as good value for money. Black school shoes should be worn by all pupils; this is in keeping with the smart appearance that is expected at our school.
At Glenwood Primary School there is a wide range of extra-curricular activities for children to participate in outside the classroom to enrich and enhance their educational experiences. We also have a Homework Club where children can receive guidance and support with their homework. Our Primary One and Two children are also offered to take part in Jo Jingles and Debutots.
P7 Willis has been involved in trialling a new resource created to help deliver financial capability and entrepreneurship. I went to Glenwood in the mid to late 1950 after graduating from
John Whites in Matchett Street. I remember Mr. Harold Wilson (Grade 5), Miss McCauley (Grade 6 -the Scholarship Class). She was offer met by an Royal Air Force Officer after school. All the boys were most impressed to see an Officer in RAF uniform.
Mr. David Gamble was the Head Master in John Whites and Mr Bradshaw was the HM in Glenwood. Mr.Stewart (nicknamed "Stewarty") was the Caretaker. After leaving Glenwood I went to the College of Technology (the Tech) on a Scholarship. I lived in 15 Dewey Street.
