The Governors, Staff and Pupils of Nettlefield Primary School would like to welcome you to their new website! This is a place for all things Nettlefield where you will be able to discover lots of exciting things that we are up to at school! You will find pupil news, information and assistance in many different parts of the site.
Nettlefield's motto is ' A place to grow, dream big and shine brightly, ' and we hope that is evident in the various aspects of our website. During this time of uncertainty we as a school want to be there for all our Nettlefield family. If there is anything you need, educational or otherwise, don't hesitate to get in touch with us.

Services
We take all Fire Safety very seriously at Nettlefield. Pupils are reminded throughout Primary 1-7 about the importance of being safe near a fire and how to prevent fires in the home. In October there is always particular care taken when discussing fireworks. The Northern Ireland Fire Service visit Primary 5 each year as part of their community engagement program.
When your child comes to Nursery he/she will be learning mainly through 'play'. Children have a busy working day and each activity is carefully planned and structured to ensure that a variety of skills are developed. The learning planned for every child is called the 'Curriculum'.
The 'Pre-School Curriculum' offers different areas of play and a variety of experiences which will meet the physical, social, emotional and cognitive needs of your child, taking into consideration his/her particular stage of development. This website is not only a great way of keeping up to date with what is happening in school, but also for highlighting the new skills, learning and friendships taking place!

Don't see why people are saying this schools a bad school because it certainly isn't lol. I went there and so far so good. Was the best wee primary school out and me and my friends have turned out quite alright and saying that 'everyone' is racist is stereotyping the children in the school!! There is a majority of the children that aren't from the local area and are from Poland and other parts of the world so the school definitely isn't racist!!
