Winyates Primary School is a place where everyone is encouraged to reach for success. We recognise that children have the right to enjoy their time at school and to learn regardless of their ability. We seek to promote this right through our whole school aims. To promote high expectations of all pupils through the provision of a broad, balanced and differentiated curriculum which allows all children to succeed.
To develop a sense of citizenship by building on the skills and knowledge needed to become a valued member of the School and wider community. To create a safe, caring and secure environment in which all individuals can thrive and one which promotes respect for other individuals and their property.

I first wanted to be a teacher when I spent summer holidays helping my dad in his school, getting his classroom ready! I would boss all the pretend children around and write on the blackboard loudly! I have been so lucky to meet some very exciting people in my life and each one of them inspires me to be the best version of myself that I can!
As Chair of Governors I am immensely proud of Winyates school. Its transformation into what we all now regard as being a 'good' school has been a momentous journey and our working partnership with St John's Church School nearby, with whom we share our Executive Headteacher, has been the driving force behind many of the improvements we see today.
Here at Winyates Primary School we are totally committed to creating an environment where all children thrive and strive to reach their potential. Jess works with families, supporting parents often through the Early Help Assessment route. Jess has an excellent link with many outside agencies and can signpost parents to other organisations that help families such as sleep solution, bereavement counselling and young carers groups.
This will be my tenth year in teaching and I could never imagine doing anything else! From an early age I enjoyed being part of a team and loved helping people, so teaching was always the perfect job for me. I studied Sports Science at University and enjoy competing in crossfit when I'm not spending time with my family and friends.
The provision of the Primary School Sports Premium allows the children to access a wide range of activities that the school would not regularly be able to provide. This aids us in delivering meaningful learning opportunities, as well as events to engage and inspire children further into the world of sport.
