We uphold Christian beliefs and have strong links with our local church. These Christian beliefs can be seen in our policies, in the daily life of our school and as we celebrate collective worship together. The staff attach great importance to providing a welcoming, friendly and supportive environment with Christian values.

St Botolph's is designated as a Church of England (Controlled) Primary School and educates children from the age of 4+ to the age of eleven. Children usually start school in the September of the academic year in which they reach five years old. In order to give the children the best possible start to their school life, they are initially admitted on a part-time basis.
E-Safety is an important part of keeping our children safe. We have security measures in place in school, which are monitored to help safeguard pupils from potential dangers or unsuitable material. E-Safety is taught to all pupils explaining and demonstrating how to stay safe and behave appropriately online.
Welcome to the section of the website where you can find out more about the school's governors and the work that we do. You can also read the minutes from our meetings. St Botolph's has an active governing body. You don't have to be an 'expert' and no formal qualifications are required. Common sense, time, enthusiasm and a commitment to working as part of a team are the qualities you would need.
The government set out its definition of British values in the 2011 Prevent Strategy and these values were reiterated by the Prime Minister in 2014. At St Botolph's CE Primary School these values are reinforced regularly and in the following ways. These values are taught explicitly through Personal, Social, Health and Emotional (PSHE), and Religious Education (RE).
The involvement of the church in the life of the school is very high. Not only do we use the church to support our curriculum and in particular the teaching of Religious Studies, but through the spiritual support provided to all staff, pupils and the wider community. Worship is central to our school and a daily act of Collective Worship is held every day.
