The Middleton Primary School community believes that holistic education entwines the gifts brought by the head, heart and hands of every person. We aspire to create an environment that supports children and the school community in their lifelong journey of self development, discovery and growth. Equip each child to be an independent learner and thinker and to fulfil their academic potential.
The Governing Body of the school is made up of people from a variety of backgrounds, who are elected or nominated and are representative of parents, teachers, and the local community. All governors are committed to the school and its aspirations for every pupil to achieve their full potential; to succeed, soar and excel.
Middleton is a successful, friendly school where staff have ambitious expectations for the children in their care and, consequently, children thrive and succeed. As a school community we constantly strive to improve provision for pupils. We are committed to ensuring every child achieves their potential so that they are prepared academically, personally and socially for the next stage of their journey into adulthood.
Our school is designated as a Mainstream Primary School serving the local area but in addition provides places for pupils with hearing impairment. We educate children from 4+ through to eleven years of age. All children are admitted into our Reception classes in the September of the academic year in which they are five.

I cannot fault this school at all. I enrolled my son during the summer holidays last year as I pulled my son from Longthorpe Primary School due to a catalogue of failings. Middleton have been fantastic from enrolment, to the transitioning period and now my son is thriving. He's reading fluently and he's loving maths. The year 1 teachers are brilliant with the kids, especially Ms White. She makes learning fun. The time is invested in the children and given additional help if needed. There's no negative criticism to parent's for their children's level of what they can acheive. They really do appreciate
