We are looking for a dedicated site officer to join our school on a cover contract as soon as possible.
Services
It is a primary school with an OFSTED registered Nursery on site, catering for pupils aged 3 to 11 years. A large proportion of the pupils transfer to the local secondary school, which is within walking distance of Thorpe Primary School. Our school is situated in Netherton to the west of the City of Peterborough.
Thorpe Primary School is a wonderful, multi-cultural school where children feel safe, happy and secure, and leave well-prepared for the next phase of their education. An engaging and innovative curriculum inspires children and equips them with skills, experience and confidence to achieve their best.
Our school is designated as a Primary School and we educate children from 4+ through to eleven years of age. We also have the facility of an on-site Nursery unit which caters for 52 part time children. Our Nursery caters for children aged 3+. All children are admitted into our Reception classes in the September of the academic year in which they are five.
We currently have a vacancy for a dedicated site officer to join our school on a cover contract as soon as possible. The cover contract is a temporary appointment and will cease when the substantive post-holder returns to their duties.

We are at an exciting phase of our journey, working in equal partnership with three local primary schools and our feeder secondary school as part of Peterborough Keys Academies Trust to further enhance our children's school experiences. If you are excited by what we can offer and feel that you have something to offer our school, then we would love to meet you and show you around our school.
Thorpe Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Safeguarding concerns must be shared without delay with a designated safeguarding member of staff. If a designated person is not available, in an emergency or if you are not happy with the schools action, advice from the police or Children's Social Care must be sought.

The teachers are quite strict at that school. The teachers that are kind of not are the TA's and normal class teachers such as Oliver Wray and Penel tipping. They are my favourite teachers and they've been the best teachers so far. Apart from that, it's a brilliant school!

It used to be good with good Ofsted rating but since they opened 3 classes for each year group the quality of teaching went from good to bad. As shown on the latest Ofsted report so it is like they are struggling and they can't cope with the big number of children.
My son in year 2 and he does not like it there at all. They supposed to change his reading books every week but it didn't happen. They send wrong spelling sheet home for him to practice but when he had the test it was different. His reading record never get checked. Plus it seems like his teacher does not have time for them. I wonder
