I love working with children because no day is the same, everyday is more interesting as the last. The impact that we as adults can make on children's lives is incredible, just to see how much they learn and grow over the years within our care.

I enjoy working with children as it such a privilege to help watch them grow and develop into young independent girls and boys they are today and I am blessed to have been involved with so many children's lives already whilst they are at a nursery.I love working with children as I enjoy getting to know them individually - discovering what they like.

Services

Babies Report

Our babies enjoy lots of cuddles and re-assurance throughout the day. They play with toys and sensory equipment which encourages their early stages of development. Lots of singing, reading and one to one conversations results in a day of fun as they improve their communication skills and build relationships.

Toddlers Report

The children are much more confident, enthusiastic and keen to 'get going' to burn off all their energy exploring their environment and especially the outdoors. Our Early Leaners love singing, dancing and listening to stories which are a vital part of their day as well as early literacy and numeracy activities such as sorting shapes and sizes which encourage the children's mathematical and language development.

Preschool Report

There is a more structured approach in our pre-school room where our aim is to create a learning environment where the atmosphere is informal and fun. The equipment provided has been carefully chosen to enable children to learn through their play, build on their team work skills and also to develop a growing confidence and independence.

Outdoors Report

No cabin fever here at Bluestone, where we like to get outdoors with the children as much as possible - come rain, come shine! This is not just a place for the children to let off steam - free play is very important for children's wellbeing - but also a place where we can bring learning to life in different ways to indoors.

This is an excellent nursery, my daughter attended this nursery for three years and we never had any issues. The children's happiness and wellbeing is always a priority and all the staff are amazing.

Today me & my baby boy came to a baby workshop session in the baby room, it was fantastic & Heather was brilliant & I have come away with lots of ideas of how I can promote my babies development at home including tummy time (which he isn’t too keen on at the moment). The session began with baby massage & then various sensory activities were provided for all the babies to explore freely. My baby particularly enjoyed the feathers, shiny paper & absolutely loves his ribbon ring which we had the opportunity to make and bring home. Not being from around this or any other nurseries, I would highly recommend this place, as after putting him in this nursery the staff in the baby room are so friendly and the communition between staff and myself is brilliant and seeing all the different activities on here of my son and other children reassures me that I have completly made the correct choice in sending my little boy to this nursery

Great nursery. I love hearing about my boys day & all the things he has been doing. The ILD system is brilliant to share information track his development and look at photos of him playing. The rooms are nice with lots of things to do and the outside play areas are always inviting. Overall a happy friendly environment I would definitely recommend the nursery to others.

Cannot think of a better place for the care of my son, nothing is too much to ask and I found the staff to be really helpful and cooperative. My son has had a little trouble with his speech and they have created activity packs that have really helped with the progress of my child’s speech. The nursery have great ad hoc activities such as mini maestros, didi dance, swimming and much more which is included in the price. I have also noticed that the nursery have a lot of varierty in the activities they do with the children so each day is a little different. All food is made fresh and has more variety

My first experience of a nursery and not a good one. My child was allegedly assaulted by a senior member of staff. The whistleblower was a student and an apparent liar. My child was just gone one and would scream and point at the door to get out . He had no voice so I must be his. Be very aware of this nursery because the lady in question still works here.
I still have not got awnsers .

My grandson goes here and loves it.. my 2nd grandson will go when he's a bit older too. The staff have always been friendly and helpful and they are helping massively with my grandsons development. He is 2 yrs old and is learning lots through their time, patience and one to one work. I can't fault them or the place.

Just a quick message to say just how happy we are with Darcie and the Nursery, I thought I was going to find it so hard to find a nursery that ticked all the boxes with it being my line of work, but every single one of you at bluestone are a credit and we appreciate everything you do for Darcie and I don’t think it gets said enough to you all, I asked her today why she was in a bad mood when grandad picked her up, did she want to stay at nursery and she said ‘yes’ she loves it and i can’t thank you enough that I am able to go to work and know that she’s in good hands! Fantastic nursery my little boy absolutely loves all the staff and is very happy and content when i leave him and pick him up , this nursery always as a warm welcome , staff always happy and very friendly and i love how it is a small nursery that feels like home . definitely will recommend bluestone to anyone looking for excellent childcare .

My daughter loves attending this nursery, she settled well and made strong bonds with the staff who attend to her very quickly. The nursery provides a home from home environment and lots of fun learning opportunities, my daughter is especially fond of the outdoor play , which is not weather permitting giving her the opportunity to experience the seasons to the full.
The home cooked food is also a big plus and encourages her to try new things in the company of her friends.
All staff are friendly and helpful which made leaving her for the first time much easier and very reassuring .

My grandchild attends Bluestone Nursery and I can't recommend them highly enough. The staff are amazing. The food cooked by their chef is really healthy and sometimes what you wouldn't expect in a nursery. My grandchild is having so much fun that sometimes he doesn't want to leave!! He's learning so much.
