Services
Holly House Day Nursery and Out of School Club was founded in response to an awareness of the growing demand for high quality day care and pre-school education. Holly House is registered with ofsted, is part of the eco schools scheme and is the linked childcare provider for - St Paul's Heathside children's centre.
Staff in the Baby room strive to provide a safe, warm and caring environment enabling the babies the freedom to explore and investigate, which in turn will arm them with the confidence and self esteem to develop into inquisitive and happy toddlers. When I'm tired I just crawl into the sleep room and have a well earned rest on my bed.
There's always lots to get stuck into in the Baby room - the room is divided into the same types of area as they are in rest of the Nursery to give the children a start with a wide range of activities to enjoy and learn through.
From the interesting range of natural materials in the Heuristic area, exciting books to look at in the Cosy area, the carpet which is great for constructive and small world play, and then there's all the things that help understanding of the real world in the Home corner - and finally, who can't forget the gooey sticky stuff in the messy Creative area.

The Baby room are lucky as they eat the same as the rest of the Nursery so get to sample great delights such as Spaghetti Bolognese and garlic bread, Sweet and Sour Chicken and rice, Tuna Gratin with carrots, and Chicken Casserole with green beans and cauliflower - of course, we puree them all to make it easier for little mouths!
Here in the School room the children are provided with an environment of challenging & fun activities with the emphasis on freedom of choice. The staff incorporate all the skills within the EYFS framework that a child will need to enable a smooth and positive transition to school. We have been dressing up in costumes and made lanterns and me and my friends made a gigantic dragon.

I highly recommend Holly House. My son has been going here for a year now and LOVES it. The staff are so friendly and helpful, while being professional how they care for and help to educate the children. They have given their all through Covid and adhere to the necessary rules which make me feel safe leaving him in their care.

I cannot recommend this nursery enough. The staff and the management here are amazing. I always knew my daughter was safe and happy here. She left last year to go to school and still always talks about Hollyhouse being her favourite place.
I am due another baby soon and I will most definitely be sending baby to Hollyhouse. Would not want to use anywhere else

No major concerns...I drop my grandson off for my daughter because she works...he's been attending the nursery for a couple of years now and he's doing well...the only incident was a few weeks ago when I had just left after dropping him off and a staff member phoned me saying he needed to be picked up ASAP because of chickenpox concerns..I asked her if he had red raised lumps?? She said "no " I said I know enough about childhood illnesses and I have a few kids and I also have medical qualifications..they requested he was collected anyway..guess what??!he didn't have chickenpox...but the dirtzy

My Daughter goes to this nursery and I have found that the care is very very basic. The staff are quite unpleasant to deal with and if you have any questions you are alway rushed on. No snacks are provided like most nursery's I can't wait until September till my Daughter starts school so I never have to bring her here again. I wouldn't recommend.

Have had a horrific experience here, they rang social services because my child had nappy rash. They described it as being so dreadful. The social worker said that when she got the referral she was expecting something really bad.
. Social worker turned up and examined my daughter and confirmed it was a tiny bit of nappy rash. Police and social services were all saying they had made it out to be so bad and said there was puncture marks all over my daughters private area. We were shut in a small office and they refused to let me take my children despite there being NO COURT ORDER.
