Services
If you have a concern about a child during School Term Time, please email your concern to office@gorseland.net. Your concern will be forwarded to the Designated Safeguarding Lead or Chair of Governors if appropriate. Staff can report a concern using our internal systems that can be found on the staff webpage.
Our Hedgehog Nursery can now offer wrap around care from 0730 to 1800. Children are entitled to 30 hours free early education at the beginning of the term following their 3rd birthday. It is our intention to make our nursery accessible to children and families from the local community through transparent, fair and clearly communicated procedures.
Our Specialist Support Unit is an extended provision catering for pupils aged 4-13 with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) and complex additional needs. Key Stage Two - Cognition and Learning Unit (Cognition and Learning should be the main area of need on the child's EHCP.). Key Stage Three (Year 7 and Year 8) - Cognition and Learning Unit (Cognition and Learning should be the main area of need on the child's EHCP.).
The Gorseland governors are a diverse group made up of parents, staff, members of the local community and appointees of the Local Authority. Our role is to define the "ethos" of the school and to put in place the policies and targets for achievement that will shape how our children learn and develop.
