Windmill Hill C P School
Windmill Hill Primary School has been serving the Windmill Hill area of Runcorn since it was built in 1978. In the early years it was very much a local community school serving just residents from the local Windmill Hill estate, today however, we have children from all over the new town area of Runcorn.

This is due to the excellent reputation our school has earned over the years, specifically since our first "Outstanding" Ofsted report in 2006. We have maintained an exceptionally high standard of education since then, receiving another "Outstanding" Ofsted report again in our latest inspection in 2013.
Services
We are a happy, caring and extremely successful school where children love to learn. Indeed, visitors always comment on the warm and friendly atmosphere and the exemplary behaviour of the children. Our aim is for each child to achieve their potential and the team of dedicated staff work hard to ensure that this is possible.
To be an inclusive school: all aspects of our work will ensure that all learners are given equality of opportunity and treated fairly. To promote and achieve high standards for all by providing teaching and learning of the highest quality. To treat learners as individuals and to differentiate teaching and learning to take account of their individual needs.
At Windmill Hill Primary School, we want our children to experience the joy of discovery; to solve problems; to be creative in writing, art and music. Most of all, we strive to develop their self-confidence, so that they develop into emotionally strong adults. We will encourage our children to set high targets for themselves and teach them how to use set-backs to become even better.
At Windmill Hill the outdoor education is an important part of the curriculum. We are fortunate to have our own forest school which contains a tree house, an amphitheatre, musical instruments and wooden sculptures. Each class has a session outside every week and the impact on learning within the classroom has been huge.
What I love most about Windmill Hill is the happy faces on each and every child the moment I arrive at school of a morning. I have always believed. What I love most about Windmill Hill is that there is always so much going on and every child is given the opportunity to succeed. The children brighten.
