We are proud to welcome you to St. Luke's Catholic Primary School. Our school is a friendly and welcoming place where everyone is valued. We strive to strengthen the links between the home, parish and local community, valuing the contribution they each make towards the development of the whole child.

With St. Luke as our Patron Saint, we firmly place gospel values at the heart of all we do. Our mission is to provide an excellent education for all families who wish to have Catholic values at the heart of everything that they do. We believe that each child is unique and is made in the image and likeness of God.
Services
The children will learn that the Bible is a story of God's love and concern for us. They will learn that the Bible is a living book through which God speaks to us and tells us about himself. They will learn that the Bible is one story told through many different viewpoints and scriptures. Our topic for the Autumn Term is called 'The Greatest Show'.
The children will learn about the beauty of God's world and explore and respond to the wonders of creation e.g. the seasons. They will also hear about the story of Creation from Genesis and talk about its meaning. Our text in English this half term is Lost and Found by Oliver Jeffers. Our focus will be on expianing our own views and constructing sentences linked to the images.
Welcome to our Reception Class page, where we will keep you up to date with the children's learning and share important information, events and photographs with you. We aim to provide a wonderful learning environment for the children in the Early Years Foundation Stage that is full of nurture, fun and engagement.
This is a busy term in Class 2. We are looking forward to exciting events with lots of creative, stimulating activities to enrich our learning. Our first book will be Troll Swap by Leigh Hodgkinson. We will be using the book to explore language and to develop ideas for independent writing. The children will be looking at adjectives and nouns.
Our topic this half is Christian Family. The children will be exploring and reflecting upon what it means to be part of the Church family. They will understand that once we join the Christian family, we receive the sacrament of baptism as a way of being welcomed into the church and beginning our life journey without sin.
